Continuing Education Approval

PsychMaven has been approved by the organizations listed below as a Continuing Education (CE) provider. This allows many of our trainings to fulfill the CE requirements for several behavioral health professionals—including professional/mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychologists, and addiction counselors.

However, each state or jurisdiction in the U.S. and internationally has its own requirements regarding CE approval and may place limits on how many CE hours can be completed online. Based on our research, we’ve created a guide that outlines CE requirements for most states. If you have questions, please contact your state board.

Please note: not all courses offered through PsychMaven qualify for continuing education hours or are approved by all organizations with which PsychMaven holds approval. The CE status of each course or training is clearly marked with an asterisk (*) and explained in detail on the corresponding registration pages.

PsychMaven is responsible for continuing education hours for all events unless otherwise noted.

NBCC Approval

PsychMaven has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 6624). Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. PsychMaven is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. We are approved for both Live/Real-Time and Home Study CE programs.

APA Approval

PsychMaven is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. We maintain responsibility for the content and administration of our programs.

Note: Not all CE programs offered by PsychMaven meet the APA standards for continuing education. Only those programs specifically marked as offering APA credit are eligible.

Currently, PsychMaven’s APA-approved programs are only available in Home Study format.

Florida Board Approval

PsychMaven is an Approved Provider of continuing education under the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (#50-35008, Exp. 03/31/2025).

This approval allows for CE credit for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs), and Professional/Mental Health Counselors licensed in Florida, as well as in other jurisdictions that accept CE approval from Florida’s professional boards.

NBCCH Hypnotherapy Certification

PsychMaven’s program on Ericksonian and Solution-Oriented Hypnosis has been approved by the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH) as meeting their certification standards for becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist (CH).

This program includes 50 hours of approved CE for many behavioral health professionals. It also meets the qualifications required for Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Mental Health Counselors to practice hypnosis in the state of Florida, pursuant to Rule 64B4-7.002.
