Continuing Education (CE) Information
PsychMaven has been approved by the organizations listed below as a Continuing Education (CE) provider, allowing for many of our trainings to cover the CE needs of several behavioral health professionals; including many professional/mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychologists, and addiction counselors. However, each state/jurisdiction in the United States, and internationally, has different requirements regarding CE approval, as well as sometimes placing limits as to how many CEs can be done online. Through our own research, we have created this guide that covers CE requirements for most states. Please know that if you have questions you should contact your state board.
Note that not all courses offered through PsychMaven, and/or its component institutes, qualify for continuing education credit, and that CE status of all courses and trainings are clearly marked with asterisks (*), with explanatory notes that follow.
PsychMaven is responsible for continuing education hours for all events unless otherwise noted.
PsychMaven has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) ACEP No.6624. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. PsychMaven is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. PsychMaven is approved for both Live/Real Time and Home Study continuing education (CE) programs.
Texas State Board for Social Worker Examiners
PsychMaven is a Licensed Social Worker Continuing Education Provider under the Texas State Board for Social Worker Examiners (Provider No. 7751). PsychMaven may provide continuing education to Social Workers certified and/or licensed in that state, and in other states/jurisdictions that accept the Continuing Education (CE) approval of other state Social Work boards. Please contact your state licensing board if you have questions about the acceptability of CE hours.
PsychMaven's program on Solution-Oriented Hypnosis has been approved by the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH) as meeting their certification standards to become a certified hypnotherapist (CH) under NBCCH. PsychMaven's Solution-Oriented Hypnosis program requires the completion of the PsychMaven courses Ericksonian Hypnosis AND Where Hypnosis Works (which can be accessed separately or purchased together in the program bundle). NBCCH membership is also required for certification.
Together, the 2 courses include 50 hours or approved continuing education for many behavioral health professionals, which also meets the Qualifications Necessary for Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors to Practice Hypnosis in the state of Florida, pursuant to the rule 64B4-7.002.
